The region of the United States known as the "Midwest", or "Middle West" spans the Northern section of the U.S. and is centered between the Rocky and Appalachian mountains. Southward the Midwest region borders the the state of Missouri (See our South directory).

Being the only region of the U.S. without an ocean as part of its border, the region harbors some of the richest farmland on earth. Farming for crops such as corn, soybean and wheat is ever abundant, as well as Cattle farms for dairy and beef products.

Ironically, the area also holds some of the most heavily industrialized cities. Often referred to as the "rust belt", cities such as Detroit, Michigan, and Wisconsin have played a major role in automotive history.

Great Dane breeders are plentiful in the Midwest, hopefully you'll find one near you.

Midwest Breeders

Iowa breeders include "www.dynamitedanes.com", they've been breeding (blue, black, harlequin & mantle) dogs for over 15-years. While Jay & Jackie of "www.ace-hi-danes.com" in Southwest Iowa offer (fawn & brindle) Dane puppies.

Kansas breeders will be up shortly.

Michigan (fawn & brindle) breeders include "www.rokadane.com" of Union, Michigan. Their beautiful dogs are bred by stock that is researched clear of other colors since the early 20th Century!

Contact Old Mission Great Danes for indoor, family raised, health tested (fawns).

"www.kwikdane.com" of Lapeer, Michigan, has been breeding and showing (fawn & brindle) Great Danes since 1984. While "www.kajondanes.com" in Livonia, MI, breeding program includes multiple group winning dogs and best of breed champions.
