Maxie the Great Dane, as nicknamed is a 7-month, 125-pound male. He is nothing if not a regal goofball. He's recently learned his big boy voice and enjoys trying it out on unsuspecting passersby, especially when egged on by his best fried Sierra. Maxie started out in our family by breaking his foot when he was only 8-weeks old, but has healed quite nicely and is now as exhuberant as any puppy should be. At 6-months old, he was beginning to take over our bed. Now 16-months old and 150-pounds, he takes up even more.
